TW Steel Icon TW622 Review

TW Steel Icon TW622 Watch Review

The TW Steel Icon (TW622) has a great entry price point if you are interested in getting into a TW Steel watch. It is one of their least expensive watches coming in at $225 MSRP. This is the 45mm version, there is also a 50mm (TW623). I like the 45mm version as it still offers a nice big dial and large numerals/indices. It was not all that long ago when 42mm was considered a large watch.
Aesthetically, there is very little to nit pick about on this watch. The hour and minute hands match quite well with the indices, creating a good visual flow throughout the watch face. The watch does have lumed numerals and hands, the amount of time they glow is not fantastic. At this price point it is hard to complain much about the lume. The TW622 comes on a decent black aviator style strap with white stitching. An oversized crown adds the final touch to the overall design. This TW Steel is powered by a quartz movement and the dial is protected by mineral crystal. Is the TW Steel TW622 or TW623 ground breaking in design? No, it is not, but at this price point it is ahead of the many of the watches in this price range.

Pros - Clean design, good value

Consideration - I am a big fan of sapphire crystal, this watch uses mineral.
