Anonimo Opera Meccana Professionale 6000 Review
Anonimo Watch Reviews: Carbon Diver, Opera Meccana, Millemetri Polluce Drass
Anonimo is a relatively young company founded in 1997. Anonimo is the Italian word for “anonymous”. The watch is intended to be about the personality of the wearer, not the company, hence “Anonimo”.
Anonimo Opera Meccana Professionale 6000 watch is also known as Model 6000. With the seductive pineapple dial and clean crisp flowing lines of the case, this is a hard watch not to like. At the 4 o’clock position, the Opera Meccana has a locking system and an automatic helium expulsion valve. There is a subtly placed magnifying date window at the 3:30 position. Anonimo uses caliber ANONIMO 0.1.0, built off an ETA 2824-2. This is not a small watch coming in at 45 mm, with domed sapphire crystal. The Professionale will take you deep, over 6000 feet should you need to go to that depth! If you get a chance to see Anonimo watches in person, you will be impressed with fit, finish, function, and innovation.
Only 250 made...Many Anonimo’s watches are made in limited numbers.
Pros - Not common, build quality (fit/finish)

Anonimo joins a growing trend with the use of carbon fiber. The limited edition Carbon Diver uses carbon fiber for the dial and more noticeably on the bezel as well. Carbon fiber is just plain cool, not sure why, but it marries quite well with watches if used wisely. Anonimo did a nice job with Carbon Diver and it’s use of carbon fiber.
This watch based off of the Anonimo Sailor Diver, only a few subtle alterations beyond the obvious. The use of carbon fiber on the bezel gives the watch a very playful, sporty look, further complimented by an orange stitch Kodiak leather strap. Besides carbon fiber being a very strong and light material, it’s woven pattern is perfect for giving watch dials a subtle textured looked. Anonimo uses four large Arabic numbers that jump off the dial for easy reading. There is a small date window tucked away at the 3:30 location. Imagine this watch without a date window. W&R would have liked to seen that, granted most people want to have the date displayed on their watch. The Carbon Diver is powered by a Sellita SW200, Anonimo calls 01.0, with a 40 hour power reserve.
There are a number of nice things about this watch, limited edition, use of carbon fiber, price point, versatile and in general Anonimo does a nice job with the fit and finish. This watch would make a great sporty addition for that watch collection.
Pros - Carbon fiber, limited edition, lower price point for Anonimo
Consideration - W&R thinks dives watches should have rotating bezels

Anonimo Millemetri Polluce Drass Review
Case: Ox-Pro
Case Diameter: 42 mm
Bezel: Fixed
Dial Color: Black
Crystal: Sapphire
Power Reserve: 40hrs
Movement: Auto
Strap: Kodiak/Rubber Lug Width: 22 mm
Water Resistance: 1200m
The Anonimo Millemetri Polluce Drass (Model 2003) is rich in appearance and striking in design. The rich case appearance comes from the Ox-Pro blackening treatment, followed by successive sandblasting cycles to improve resistance to real world wear (Drass). It has a dark bronze like appearance and is unique to Anonimo watches. The dial has the classic Anonimo logo, note that the brand name is not actually on the dial. Keeping with the concept of anonymous, Anonimo in Italian means “anonymous”. Though, the new watches released at Basel 2010 have “Anonimo” printed inside the logo. There is a HEV (helium expulsion valve) at the 2:30 position, the date and oversized screw down crown are located at the 4 0‘clock position.
The dial is protected by domed sapphire crystal on a 42 mm case. The watch is available on Anonimo’s patented Kodiak strap. The Kodiak strap is leather that has been treated to withstand water or salt water for long periods of time and not affect the strap. Most leather straps would be ruined after being submerged into salt water for hours, another unique feature the brand has to offer. The Millemetri Polluce Drass is powered by an automatic Anonimo 01.0 off of a Sellita SW200 or ETA 2824-2, that has been adjusted 4 positions. Anonimo makes a top quality watch that will not disappoint.
Pros - Ox-Pro, Kodiak strap (one of the best in the industry), unique brand design
Consideration - The dial looks a little busy
