It may be ordered in a stainless steel or in 18kt rose gold, with dials available in black, bronze or silver. Case features a convex sapphire crystal with antireflective coating and the trademark slide-ruler on its rotating bezel. The watch is an automatic featuring Breitling’s B26 caliber, based of the ETA 2892-A2 and is C.OS.C. certified. The anniversary model lacks the small seconds sub-dial and has a date window at the 6 o’clock position.
Pros - This watch will get attention, the bracelet alone sets it apart, C.O.S.C. certified, limited edition, utilizing Breitling’s new movement.
Consideration - water resistance
Breitling Avenger SeaWolf Watch Review
Breitling’s SuperOcean Heritage is the 21st century remodel of the iconic Heritage SuperOcean Chronometer. This watch is a must see in person, pictures do not do it justice. Breitling being no stranger to large watches offers this in a 46mm and a 38mm. The watch is very clean and crisp visually and comes in three different color options, black, blue, and bronze. The bronze version is surprisingly nice and would be great for an individual with a deep watch collection. Bronze would be a tough color to pull off daily, others watches would help with this. The big date window at the 6 o’clock position is a nice change of pace.
The SuperOcean Heritage utilizes the Breitling Caliber 17 automatic movement, based off of an ETA 2824-2. The watch is C.O.S.C. certified with a water resistance of 200m. The Heritage is offered on either the Ocean Racer rubber strap or mesh bracelet. Both are some of the best in the industry and the mesh is arguably the best available.
Pros - Crisp/Clean and Easy to read, C.O.S.C. certified, great strap/bracelet options.
Consideration - Lacking in the lume for a dive watch, specifically no pip lume

Breitling SuperOcean II Review
The Breitling Avenger Seawolf mens watch is a serious hunk of steel. The Seawolf is built off of the Avenger platform and comes in with a staggering water resistance of 3000M/10,000ft! If you need to go that deep, this watch will get your there. Visually the Avenger Seawolf seems to do everything right. Fitted with the Professional II bracelet, which is at the top of the list for best bracelets in the industry in W&R opinion. The SeaWolf has an easy to read big dial, large Arabic numerals, red accent on seconds hand, HEV, and a date window a 3 o’clock. The most difficult decision about this watch is deciding on a dial color, black, blue, yellow, or gray. Not to many Breitling’s come fully brushed, this one stands out in very good way.
It is powered by Breitling’s Cal 17, built off an ETA 2824-2. C.O.S.C. certified movement, with a 42 hour power reserve. All of this is housed in 44mm case with double AR coated sapphire crystal.
Pros - Great design, built like a tank, fantastic bracelet
Consideration - The watch has a large presence on the wrist

Introduced in 2010 the Breitling SuperOcean II (ref. A17364) has a new look and what a great new look it is. The dial has been cleaned up, less busy than previous versions. The dial is offered in Abyss Black, Abyss Silver, Abyss Blue, Abyss Red, or Abyss Yellow, a lot of great choices. Unlike previous versions the numerals and indices are applied, huge improvement and much needed. Notice the tip of the seconds hand match the color of the outer flange. The new SuperOcean has a new bezel, black with stainless steel slanted numerals. Adding further to the functionality of the SuperOcean is a helium escape valve at the 10 o’clock position, water resistant to 1500m (5000ft). The sapphire crystal is double sided with AR coating, optimizing a crisp view of the dial.
This Breitling is powered by Breitling’s Calibre 17 and is C.O.S.C. certified. Adding even more difficulty between what dial to choose is the choice of a Pro Diver strap, Ocean Racer strap, or the Professional II stainless steel bracelet. Breitling did a great job on this watch, there will be no shortage A17364 happy owners.
Pros - New design, lots of variations, C.O.S.C.
Consideration - A dive watch with no pip lume dot on bezel

W&R always been a big fan of the Airwolf, being a non-dorky multi-functioning tool watch. Now enter the Breitling Airwolf Raven (ref A78364), with a new intimidating look. The biggest aesthetic change over the standard Airwolf model is the black rubber bezel and the subtle touch of black molded rubber integrated into the pushers. The dial has a nice depth, with the vertical pinstripe texturing. The Airwolf Raven of course still has the bidirectional bezel, with slide rule for calculations.
All digital operations are accessible through the crown and activated via the pushers. Simply turn the crown to put on desired function, pull crown out to adjust settings. Some of the functions include: chronograph, countdown, GMT, UTC, digital perpetual calendar, and EOL (end of life) indicator for the battery.
A few final points that should not be overlooked. This Airwolf Raven is equipped with NVG (night vision goggles) back-lighting system, making it compatible with night vision goggle reading. That is cool! The caseback has the turbine shaped construction, acting as a resonance chamber for the alarms and other function indications. Lastly, the watch is powered by Breitling’s very well know SuperQuartz thermo-compensated Caliber 78. It is COSC certified and is extremely accurate, not to lose more than -15 seconds per year.
Pros - Top notch fit/finish, easy to use functions, SuperQuartz Caliber 78
Consideration - Dial is busy as to be expected with all the functions

Breitling SuperOcean GMT Review
At Basel 2011, Breitling released the new eye popping Breitling Bentley GT Racing Ice. The watch is vibrant, lively, and unmistakably Breitling. They wisely went with the more versatile compact Bentley size, coming in at 45mm. Still not small by any means, but certainly a lot more appealing to the masses.
Breitling is using their own exclusive color called livery for the dial and matching strap. The Bentley line up is very distinctive, this all white Bentley GT Racing Ice takes it to whole new level. The sterile livery dial and matching livery rubber strap look amazing together. It has the standard Bentley chronograph functions and pushers. The bezel is nicely done with a knurled finish, adding a nice textural contrast. The bezel is used to operate the variable tachometer, when used in conjunction with the chronograph enables the user to measure speed or elapsed time. There are two versions of this watch, Bentley GT Ice and Bentley GT Racing Ice. The Racing version has the more attractive finish in W&R opinion. The upper surface have a brushed satin finish, the sides and pushers are high polished. The non-Racing version is high polish throughout. Breitling is using their automatic 13B (modified ETA Valjoux 7750) caliber COSC certified movement, with a 42 hour power reserve. The movement supplies power for the chronograph functions, day/date display, hour, minute, and seconds hands.
The watch is very distinctive and no doubt a conversation starter. The Breitling Bentley GT Racing Ice also offers an excellent change of pace to any watch collection. Highly doubtful there is an all white watch in the collection, unless it is a G-Shock!
Pros - Distinctive, solid movement, COSC, more versatile Bentley size
Consideration - Will the expensive all white strap begin to show wear/dirt quickly?
Breitling introduces one of the latest versions in SuperOcean series for 2011. This is the SuperOcean GMT with a new manageable size for Breitling, coming in at 41mm. Breitling fans will notice quickly that the dial uses similarly styled numerals and indices as the Seawolf. The "blockier" indices and numerals make the dial less busy, a good choice with added GMT complication. The black dial has a textured circular pattern that encompasses the hour markers, creating a nice subtle contrast. A date window at 3 o'clock is outlined in white. The white outline is a good aesthetic touch, helping to balance the 9 o'clock marker. The bidirectional bezel has the appropriate 24 hour counter that is used in conjunction with the red GMT hand. An automatic movement powers the SuperOcean GMT, Breitling calls a B32. Impressively for a GMT watch it has a water resistance of 500m compared to the rest of the GMT marketplace. The watch is offered on the beautiful Professional II bracelet or a rubber strap, W&R highly recommends getting the bracelet initially. You can always get a strap later for less than the bracelet. It is pretty penny to buy the bracelet after the purchase and will likely pay more. This is one of the few must have bracelets, gorgeous.
The SuperOcean GMT makes for a solid day to day, whether business or pleasure. The watch hits a home run from a functionality, size, and design standpoint. If you are in the market for a GMT, this Breitling SuperOcean GMT is worth serious consideration.
Pros - New design 2011, practical, GMT, Pro II bracelet
Consideration - Would like the dial to be about 2mm larger to open it up a little more
